  1. Minimum Ages To:
    • Serve - The minimum ages specified by statute or regulation for on-premises servers of beer,wine, and spirits.
    • Bartend - The minimum ages specified by statute or regulation for bartenders to sell or dispense beer,wine, and spirits.
      • If the minimum age for both servers and bartenders in a given State is specified as 21 for all beverage types - i.e., underage servers and bartenders are specifically prohibited in that State - no other restrictions or conditions are noted in the comparison tables.  If no minimum age is specified for servers and/or bartenders in a given State, the minimum age is displayed as "0."
      • In States where the minimum age for bartenders is 21 and the minimum age for servers is less than 21, all additional entries for that State (other than row notes) refer to servers.
  2. Manager or Supervisor Must Be Present
    • A requirement, beyond that otherwise mandated for all servers or bartenders in that jurisdiction, that a manager or supervisor be present when the underage person is serving or dispensing alcoholic beverages.
